Carly is currently a freelance arts journalist, theatre critic, theatre administrator, and student. She received a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University in 2010, and has since written for The Toronto Star, Torontoist, The Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Guardian, and more. She is also a board member for the Canadian Theatre Critics Association and a member of the Toronto Theatre Critics Awards.
Her studies at York University look at the mainstreaming of performance art in Toronto, contemporary theatre criticism, and Canadian arts funding models.
