photo of Kymberly Dawn FelthamMy dissertation examines the ways that South African contemporary dance-makers and body-based artists conceptualize and articulate notions of social identity and ethos in response to the social, political, and economic challenges that are emblematic of post-apartheid South Africa. I hold a BFA (2005) in Contemporary Dance from Concordia University, an MA in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University (2009), and am currently a PhD Candidate in the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies at York University.
